A delightful piece retains its original needlework panel. Miniature pieces have a perennial popularity and although many were purportedly made as apprentice pieces some were designed to amuse. This beautifully crafted mahogany piece was clearly made to special order to house a beloved piece of needlework.
A rare survival. Needlework initialed and dated “EH 39.”
