Product Description

Antique mail boxes generally take two forms – variations on the theme of the original “Penfold” letter box, that had been designed as the standard for street placement, and whimsical boxes that often were an interpretation of the place it inhabited.

This wonderful piece that would have been screwed to a wall depicts a Georgian town house and the box can be dated to the first quarter of the 20th century.  Painted recently.
