Product Description

Made in INdia in the early to mid 19th century in either Calcutta or Bombay in ebony that has been curved and turned in classic Indian designs this pair of candlesticks benefits from the liberal use of silver.

It is very rare to find this model in ebony and exceptionally rare to see silver employed.  This would have been a private commission by a probably English client of same considerable importance.

Anglo-Indian c. 1840
