In the Sheraton style, the original tooled black/green leather lined octagonal top above a frieze with eight compartments of three different sizes for books, the base of the frieze finely carved. The eight legs of complementary shape to the table and out-set, each leg with satinwood stringing to the corners terminating with acanthus cast brass caps and casters.
An interesting and well executed design of considerable quality.
