Product Description

In the Regency style with pseudo English hallmarks including the leopard’s head crowned, lion passant, monarch’s head facing right and P as in the London date letter for 1810-1811. Of oblong basin shape with rounded corners, curved everted rims with foliate and tongue and dart borders, splayed foot rim, terminating in four claw supports with scrolled leaf attachments.

An identical pair, with the additional mark WE, We, WC is in the collection of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, London.

Chinese for the English Market.

First third of the 19th century.
