Product Description

It is unusual to find tables of this type where the upper tier exceeds the size of the lower tier, although a number of examples are known. The exact use of this table is unknown, either a country dumbwaiter or an unusual cricket table, although it has been suggested that it could be a workman’s table. We find this to be unlikely as the examples we have seen exhibit none of the usual scarring associated with continual hard use. One feature that adds to its charm is the use of three well-turned legs rather than the usual tripod base.
