The octagonal tops, hexagonal shafts and tripod scroll feet marquetry inlaid with a profusion of birds, and floral designs stained woods and bone. Decorated in the Dutch taste these candle stands are an extraordinary and rare representation of the late seventeenth century William and Mary style.
