A rare and attractive piece. The heavy brass, seamed candlestick is held by a gimbal and attached to the bulkhead of a ship to ensure that it remains vertical in heavy seas. The stick has an internal spring to ensure that the candle is always pushed to the top as it burns down. A very well made item.
